If you enjoy smooth commutes and easy road trips, E-ZPass is probably your go-to for skipping toll lines and keeping things moving. But lately, scammers have been posing as E-ZPass agencies, hoping to trick drivers into sharing personal or financial information.
These fraudsters are sending fake emails and texts claiming:
   •  You owe unpaid tolls
   •  Your E-ZPass account has been suspended
   •  You need to “click here” to resolve the issue

Here’s an example of E-ZPass Scam text:

Sounds serious, right? That’s exactly what they’re counting on. These messages often include a link that looks official, but it actually leads to a fraudulent site designed to steal your sensitive information.

The good news? Staying safe is simple when you know what to look for:

🚫 Don’t click suspicious links – Always go directly to the official E-ZPass website to check your account.
🕵️‍♀️ Watch for red flags – Misspellings, unfamiliar senders, and vague greetings like “Dear customer” are all warning signs.
🔐 Stay alert, not alarmed – E-ZPass won’t ask for personal or payment info via text or email.
🧠 Trust your instincts – If something feels off, it probably is.

E-ZPass makes traveling through tolls effortless - but don’t let scammers hitch a ride! If you receive a message that seems suspicious, do not click any links. Instead, report it and keep your personal information safe. Trust your instincts, stay alert, and travel with confidence.
