STRATFORD, CT – (March 3, 2022) Sikorsky Credit Union donated over 300 items to the Sterling House Food Pantry in Stratford, CT. The Sterling House has served generations of children and adults for almost 90 years. Some of their programs include a preschool, after school program, summer day camp, food pantry service and athletics.

Sikorsky Credit Union hosted a Food Drive and employees donated nonperishable items, such as cereals, canned vegetables, soups, rice, pasta boxes and more, to fill the shelves of the Sterling House Food Pantry. This event was initiated by the Sikorsky Cares Committee to help individuals and families facing food insecurities in 2022.

Amanda Meeson, Executive Director of Sterling House said, “Sterling House is grateful for another successful, supportive drive from Sikorsky Credit Union! SCU is dedicated to supporting the needs of their community and their non-profit partners. These donations will help fill the bags for our Food-4-Kids program on the weekends and our food deliveries to seniors in our community."

Ken Ferrari, SVP/Chief Experience Officer at Sikorsky Credit Union added, “We strive to make a difference in the lives of our members and the communities we serve. This Food Drive was a great way for our employees to get involved and make a positive impact in the Stratford area.”
