Sikorsky Credit Union Partners with Sterling House on Community Initiatives
Recently, Sikorsky Credit Union worked together with Sterling House to benefit local children.
Sikorsky Credit Union representatives Nancy Meszaros, Stratford Branch Manager and Brittany Blake, Youth Initiative Coordinator recently presented 300 backpacks to Robert J. Wargo, Director of Volunteer Services at Sterling House. The backpacks will be used for the Sterling House Day Camp Program this summer. Sterling House has provided a day camp program for Stratford youth for nearly 70 years.
A second initiative focused on the community center’s preschool program. Brittany Blake, Youth Initiative Coordinator for Sikorsky Credit Union, recently read a story to the children in the program. Priscilla Choquette, Director of Child Development at Sterling House was grateful for the time the Credit Union employee spent with the children. Priscilla said, “Our preschool strives to prepare the children for Kindergarten so they are stable and ready for the next step.”
Sikorsky Credit Union employee Brittany Blake added, “It was really amazing to see all the different ways Sterling House positively impacts the community. It is great to be able to help them do so.”
