                          POSITION:  Chief Financial Officer - Full Time
                          DEPARTMENT: Finance
                          REPORTS TO: President & CEO

                          This position is responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining an integrated financial system which includes Accounting, Budgeting, Revenue Assessment and Financial Reporting for the Credit Union. In conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the CFO will develop and assist in the implementation of Strategic Goals to mitigate risk and ensure long-term sustainability and growth. 

                          JOB DESCRIPTION:
                      • Oversee Asset Liability Management (ALM) of the Credit Union, specifically used for budgeting, GAP Analysis, income simulation, interest rate risk and ratio analysis. Keeps Senior Management Team, Board of Directors and Regulators apprised of risk and develops strategies to mitigate those risks.
                      • Manage the investment portfolio, securities and assets of the credit union to ensure maximum growth within regulatory guidelines.
                      • Develop and oversee annual budget. Update projections and recommended modifications as required to ensure that budgeted net worth and income goals are achieved.
                      • Oversee the Finance Department including ALM, AP, GL, Budgeting, Financial Analysis/Reporting and record keeping to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with general accounting principles and all applicable laws and regulations. Coaches and motivates staff to maximize their potential and align individual goals with organization goals.
                      • Oversee Vendor Management, Purchasing and Facilities departments to ensure a proper system of control over large expenditures and capital projects.
                      • Responsible for the accuracy, certification and timely submission of all regulatory reports.
                      • Assist in developing pricing strategies for loan and deposit portfolios. Assist with loan pricing and hedging strategies for mortgage lending, working knowledge of commercial lending.
                      • Participate with Senior Management and the Board of Directors in strategic planning, organizing and controlling the credit union’s financial operations.
                      • Identify, recommend, develop and support the implementation of new business initiatives and opportunities.
                      • Develop, implement and review policies and procedures affecting the accounting and finance functions.
                      • Oversee quality assurance efforts to ensure all system upgrades and modifications that affect accounting/financial operations are addressed and understand how changes and modifications affect business operations.
                      • Perform merger and acquisition analysis.

                      CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
                      • Requires a 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance. MBA preferred.
                      • A minimum of seven to ten years relevant financial management experience.
                      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, employees, regulators, and other service providers.
                      • Strong management skills.
                      • Strong demonstration of analytical skills to assist in evaluation of various financial matters.

                      POSITION:  Risk Manager - Full Time
                      DEPARTMENT: Security/Risk
                      REPORTS TO: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

                            This position is responsible for managing risk mitigation for the credit union.


                      JOB DESCRIPTION:
                      • Experience in and knowledge of implementation of automated solutions as it pertains to Bank Secrecy Act compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML). OFAC knowledge also desired. Supports the CRO/CISO regarding all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program which includes the application of risk metrics, key risk indicators and methodologies and the monitoring, analysis and reporting of risk exposures.
                      • Analyze transactions, internal reports and financial information for potential fraud risks and maintain reports of significant risks and recommendations.
                      • Create procedures and control assessments in response to identified risks.
                      • Recommend and implement preventative measures through risk assessments to minimize costs and damage should a loss occur.
                      • Support BCP Officer in organizational wide contingency planning/business continuity efforts. Assists in coordinating training, communication, and testing of plans.

    POSITION:  Home Loan Consultant - Full Time
    DEPARTMENT: Mortgage Lending
    REPORTS TO: Vice President, Mortgage Lending
    COMPENSATION: Base salary plus commission


    The Home Loan Consultant will utilize proven sales ability to achieve credit union mortgage and home equity lending goals and objectives within an assigned territory. Must operate within required state/federal laws and ensure that all loans are fully documented and in compliance with all credit union guidelines.

  • JOB DESCRIPTION:

      • Responsible for achieving credit union loan volume goals. Actively seeks mortgage and home equity applications from borrowers/members in need of real estate secured loans.
      • When applicable, services credit union branches in assigned territory to follow up on referrals and assist in training staff members with lending needs.
      • Actively calls on Real Estate Agents, Attorneys, and Financial Professionals in assigned territory to solicit referral business.
      • Participates in SFCU networking functions, Homebuyer Seminars and other functions to increase awareness of SFCU mortgage and home equity lending programs.
      • Interviews mortgage loan applicants to explain mortgage products and obtain all key financial and loan related information. Completes loan application and submits loan file to mortgage fulfillment team.
      • Performs loan PRE-APPROVALS to analyze member’s credit profile and determine eligible loan programs. Counsels members to help determine the loan program that best suits their financial needs. Cross-sells other credit union products and services when appropriate.
      • Coordinates receipt of all required loan conditions (disclosures, income and asset verification, P&S agreement, etc.) from member and submits documentation to loan fulfillment team.
      • Advises member of loan decision, conditions and documentation requirements.
      • Communicates credit terms (interest rate, loan terms/repayment method, disclosures, costs, etc.) and all loan status to member from application through closing. Ensures that all terms are within credit union policy and in compliance with RESPA, ECOA, and TILA.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned or appropriate.
    • CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High school diploma (college degree preferred) plus 2+ years experience originating residential mortgage loans.
      • Requires familiarity with Fannie Mae and FHLB secondary marketing guidelines and the ability to quickly learn the credit union’s portfolio loan products. Understanding of residential loan pricing is required.
      • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and mortgage LOS systems is needed.
      • Ability to successfully complete the registration process as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). The ability to annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
      • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record and possess reliable transportation.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of management, and employees.
      • Must be able to work independently to achieve desired results.
