POSITION:  Compliance Officer
LOCATION: Stratford
DEPARTMENT: Risk
REPORTS TO: Senior VP of Risk Management/CIO
STATUS: Full-time

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Compliance Officer to join our Risk team at our Stratford, CT headquarters.  This position is responsible for all compliance related matters and also serves as CRA Officer.  CRA duties are limited and comprise about 10% of responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Researching new or revised compliance laws and regulations.
  • Communicating changes to management and staff and assessing the impact of changes on the Credit Union.
  • Assisting managers and staff in meeting compliance requirements.
  • Reviewing  disclosures, legal documents, forms and promotional materials to ensure consistency with compliance laws and regulations.
  • Analyzing new or revised products, services, operations or channels to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Reviews and recommends Compliance training courses for staff.
  • Acting as liaison with outside auditors and regulators.
  • Acts as CRA Officer, serving as Chair of CRA committee.
  • Works with other staff members on Business Continuity Plans
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience working in compliance in financial institutions.  CRA Officer experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations and related case laws governing credit union industry.  Experience and/or knowledge of Business Continuity Plans a plus.
  • Compliance Certification such as NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), or other relevant Compliance Certification.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills.  Must be able to effectively communicate to employees on compliance matters and provide guidance as necessary.  Ability to effectively manage time and handle multiple priorities a must.

POSITION:  Network Security Engineer/Analyst
LOCATION: Stratford

Sikorsky  Credit Union is seeking a Network Security Engineer/Analyst to join our IT team at our Stratford, CT headquarters. You will be responsible to handle all monitoring of internal/external access controls and security safeguards and associated processes to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Assist in the design of security controls, be focused on network security best practices, design and implementation.
  • Participate in evaluating new technologies and applications across both IT and Business groups, assessing vulnerabilities and risks, detecting and responding to incidents, and recommending appropriate safeguards.
  • Develop and implement penetration testing and procedures.
  • Monitor network, devices and servers for security vulnerabilities and violations and the timely application of network and system specific remediation (i.e. patch management)
  • Conduct data security forensic analysis and risk assessment for the entire infrastructure.
  • Monitor, maintain and review logs/alerts/events for anomalies and potential security breaches.
  • Prepare reports on security incidents and security status.
  • Serve as a security expert in network security design efforts.
  • Respond to security infrastructure alerts, identify issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Develop security related procedures and related metrics; review and contribute to the improvement and standardization of security systems across all of IT.

POSITION:  Lending Business Analyst
LOCATION: Stratford
DEPARTMENT: Loan Servicing
REPORTS TO: Loan Servicing & Collections Manager
STATUS: Full-time

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a full- time Lending Business Analyst to join our Loan Servicing team at our Stratford, CT headquarters.  The Lending Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting management with coordinating and executing project tasks, producing project documentation, and supporting the lending business units by acting as the technology expert.  This person will work with management and Subject Matter Experts to identify, prioritize, and implement lending system solutions to improve operational work-flow. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Acts as lending systems administrator for all lending business systems.  Performs minor programming changes to lending systems to enhance functionality.
  • Works with management in strategic development by acting as Project Manager for all lending business initiatives.  Prepares complex reports/analysis for overall systems management.
  • Analyzes and identifies system requirements to allow lending business units to operate as efficiently as possible.
  • Develops, implements and maintains lending business solutions.
  • Prepares, analyzes and summarizes results of complex reports for management.
  • Supports business functions that require data analysis and manipulation such as HMDA reporting, Mortgage Escrow Analysis, e-Oscar data research and CRA analysis.
  • Uploads daily mortgage rates to the Mortgage POS and LOS.

POSITION:  Home Loan Consultant
LOCATION: Danbury

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Home Loan Consultant who will be responsible for originating mortgages and home equity loans in accordance with all credit union policies and procedures. This person regularly meets with members in person or over the phone to discuss payment and equity objectives and select a home loan consistent with their long and short term financial goals.  The Home Loan Consultant works under the direction of the VP, Retail Delivery and Mortgage Lending exercising limited independent judgement and decision making and requires moderate supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Achieves Credit Union loan volume goals. Actively seeks mortgage and home equity applications from borrowers/members in need of real estate secured loans.
  • Services Credit Union branches in assigned territory to follow up on referrals and assist in training staff members with lending needs whenever necessary.
  • Actively calls on Real Estate Agents, Attorneys, and Financial Professionals in assigned territory to solicit referral business.
  • Participates in SFCU networking functions, Homebuyer Seminars and other functions to increase awareness of SFCU mortgage and home equity lending programs.
  • Interviews mortgage loan applicants to explain mortgage products and obtain all key financial and loan related information. Completes loan application and submits loan file to mortgage fulfillment team.
  • Performs loan pre-approvals to analyze member’s credit profile and determine eligible loan programs. Counsels members to help determine the loan program that best suits their financial needs. Cross-sells other credit union products and services when appropriate.
  • Communicates credit terms (interest rate, loan terms/repayment method, disclosures, costs, etc.) and all loan status to member from application through closing.  Ensures that all terms re within credit union policy and in compliance with RESPA, ECOA, and TILA.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
  • Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience originating residential mortgage loans.
    • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and FHLB secondary marketing guidelines.  Ability to quickly learn the Credit Union’s portfolio loan products.  Must understand residential loan pricing.
    • Must be able to successfully complete registration process with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and to also annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean record with reliable transportation.  Ability to travel up to 50%.
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.  Must be self-motivated and goal driven.

POSITION:  Assistant Branch Manager

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager-Floater to join our Retail Delivery team. This individual will support our branch managers and supervise a team of sales and service professionals in our branch offices. This person strives to achieve branch production and operations quality goals while delivering exceptional member service levels.  The Assistant Branch Manager -Floater works under the direction of the Vice President Retail Delivery & Mortgage Lending exercising independent judgement and decision making and requires minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Supervises branch staff on a daily basis to ensure team adheres to all internal branch operations policies and procedures. Assists branch manager in training and coaching staff.

POSITION:  Member Service Representative
LOCATION: Shelton
DEPARTMENT: Retail Delivery
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
STATUS: Full-time

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a full time Member Service Representative to join our Retail Delivery team.  The Member Service Representative provides excellent member service by accurately processing a broad variety of transactions while building and maintaining positive relationships with members.  This person also educates, recommends and offers products and services that may be beneficial to our members. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Supervises staff under the direction of management to ensure service levels and operations are being maintained to Credit Union expectations.  Completes weekly branch schedule and adheres to disbursement dates, monitors overtime and adjust staffs schedule as needed.   Provides feedback for performance management reviews for each staff member.
  • Opens branch with opening teller, conducts opening responsibilities, conducts surprise cash audits and completes monthly alarm test. Conducts daily inspection of onsite ATM and related duties, including, but not limited to, completing log, replenishing cash, settling and balancing ATM as well as approving and placing holds on ATM checks. Orders cash for delivery for offsite ATM, balances, orders and stocks supplies as needed and pulls electronic journal on a monthly basis. Orders supplies as needed.
  • Balances vault as needed, orders cash for branch, buys/sells cash/coin from tellers, verifies/breaks down cash shipment, bags excess coin for shipment. Conducts audit of travelers cheques with management, reviews lobby/vestibule notice requirements per audit checklist.  Destroys all checks and bonds from 90 days and completes log, as well as sends monthly reports to appropriate individuals by the 10th of every month.
  • Serves as back up to staff in different branch locations when necessary.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.  Demonstrates the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.  Some college coursework preferred.
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience of relevant customer service and banking experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

This individual will manage daily branch office operations based upon guidelines and goals set by the Vice President of Retail Delivery including training, provide leadership, decision making, delivering and overseeing member service and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Oversees all aspects of assigned branch. Directs daily workflow and coordinates staff schedules. Holds branch team accountable for adhering to all internal branch operations policies and procedures through consistent training and coaching.   Responsible for overall member experience.
  • Manages branch business development efforts. Accountable for motivating and coaching staff to achieve all branch production goals established by senior management,  included but not limited to: increasing membership, opening and servicing new and existing accounts, originating home loan and consumer loan applications (home equity, auto, personal, credit card, etc.). Cross-sells other Credit Union products and services.
  • Actively participates in Credit Union promotions and external networking opportunities.  Leverages contacts for results.
  • Controls branch security and determines individual accountability for cash and negotiable items.
  • Recruits, interviews and recommends qualified personnel.   Ensures that all employee performance appraisals are completed and administered in a timely manner, including goal setting, providing constructive feedback in a professional manner and developing a career path for each individual.  Recommend, document and administer employee counseling and disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Serves as back up to other Branch Managers in different branch locations as needed.

    Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a part time Call Center Representative to join our Operations team at our Stratford, CT headquarters. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate servicing of our members inbound calls.  Provide superior member service and technical product support of electronic banking services and products. Processing routine transactions as well as identifying member needs and cross selling the credit unions financial products and services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Provides exceptional and professional telephone standards to ensure member satisfaction.
    • Processes transactions for members.  Researches customer inquiries according to departmental guidelines and procedures to ensure a comprehensive response is provided.
    • Utilizes in depth knowledge to assist members with Internet banking/bill pay processes, mobile banking and to ensure complex issues related to on line issues are resolved.

        Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking full-time and part time Tellers to join our Retail Delivery team. You will be responsible for processing routine transactions as well as identifying member needs and cross selling the credit unions financial products and services.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
