POSITION: IT Applications Specialist
LOCATION: Stratford, CT
DEPARTMENT: IT
REPORTS TO: IT Infrastructure Manager
STATUS: Full-time

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking an IT Applications Specialist to join our IT team at our Stratford, CT headquarters. The IT Applications Specialist provides technical support for PCs, printers, desktop applications, databases, and email functionality client and server side. This person also deploys and maintains hardware, software and telecommunications systems of basic to medium complexity and assists in supporting systems of medium to high complexity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides timely and accurate hardware and software support for internal and external customers. Documents and updates IT Help Desk requests in the IT Help Desk database in a timely and professional manner. Understands the business requirements of the staff and works with them to fully leverage IT solutions. Works with the BCP Officer to create, test and document BCP/DR procedures.
  • Provides ongoing support of internal Domino databases to ensure functionality, identify and implement improvements, and maintain regulatory compliance. Works with department managers to determine if user requirements call for the development of a new database, creates SDLC project plan for proposed database and develops the database from the ground up.
  • Maintains and supports the Domino servers to ensure a reliable email environment. Creates and maintains documentation and internal procedures for the Domino environment. Maintains system patch levels and performs upgrades as needed both server and client side.
  • Keeps track of hardware asset inventory and data tape inventory to maintain the accuracy of the asset database and quickly identify the current location of hardware and data tapes. Performs regular audits of equipment and data tape locations as compared to the asset database, as well as runs inventory reports
  • Develops and maintains technical expertise for the hardware and software within the area of responsibility. Installs, configures, tests and maintains these systems. Work with CISO and IT Manager to establish and maintain hardware and software security standards of these systems.
  • Maintains system patch levels for IT hardware and software applications as assigned, including creating/documenting procedures, testing/applying patches, and maintaining a patch log to ensure system security.
  • Assists other IT staff members in identifying and creating project plan tasks for projects which affect IT systems within area of responsibility. Works with IT Manager to develop and maintain a three-year plan for hardware and software based on usage, new features, new technologies and business goals.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors. Demonstrates the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.

Qualified Candidates should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology
  • Experience in software development including Java, XML, and CSS. Experience with IBM Domino Designer and LotusScript preferred. Experience in PC hardware and printer configuration, troubleshooting and repair. Requires knowledge of PC hardware and software. Experience with server maintenance, including email support.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of PC hardware, desktop applications, operating systems, and vendor software applications.
  • Strong communication, trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage time to meet changing workload and deadlines as well as teach users fundamental concepts of various software applications.
  • Availability for on call and after hours work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft desktop applications. Lotus Notes experience a plus.

POSITION: System Analyst II
LOCATION: Stratford, CT

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Systems Analyst II to join our IT team at our Stratford, CT headquarters. You will be responsible to handle all Enterprise server issues relating to their hardware and software. Deploys and maintains hardware, software and telecommunications systems of medium to high complexity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Implements, tests and manages all Windows servers, physical and virtual and SANs including system installation, configuration, maintenance, security, administration, documentation, reporting and capacity/availability planning. Provides advanced hardware and software support. Develops and maintains technical expertise for hardware and software. Recommend, configure, secure, deploy and troubleshoot PCs, servers and related equipment.
  • Understands the business requirements of the staff and works with them to fully leverage IT solutions. Establishes and maintains business relationships with hardware and software vendors to maintain system availability, service levels and maintenance agreements.
  • Provides technical and backup support to network administrator. Keeps manager and teammates abreast of project deliverables due to dependencies or unforeseen impacts.
  • Works with IT BCP owner to create, test and document BCP/DR procedures.
  • Provides day-to-day technical and backup support for Credit Union lending systems which include Velocity and Akcelerant. Provides system management and maintenance as well as backup support to the Lending department's Lending Administrator. Creates and maintains forms and reports for Lending systems.
  • Manage the Credit Union's ATMs including patching, reporting and working with vendor on upgrades, security and drive issue resolution.
  • Provides technical support to Risk Department for Security Camera's, DVRs and application.

Qualified Candidates should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years as a Server Administrator and at least 2 years in a Virtual environment which includes Data Replication Service, Virtual Center, Site Recovery Mgr.
  • Experience in networking technologies which include virtual NICs and switches, vDS, physical and virtual LAN topologies. Working knowledge of Enterprise SAN technologies.
  • Proven ability in performing Operating System Updates and applying patches. Testing, validation and installation of security patches, functional patches and version upgrades.
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills. Must possess a strong sense of urgency with the ability to troubleshoot issues and test/validate/deploy resolution. Needs to demonstrate constant consideration of risks and impacts especially with regards to changes such as security patching (i.e., change management).
  • Available for on call after hours work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Lotus Notes a plus.

POSITION: Home Loan Consultant

COMPENSATION: Base Salary plus Commission

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Home Loan Consultant who will be responsible for originating mortgages and home equity loans in accordance with all credit union policies and procedures. This person regularly meets with members in person or over the phone to discuss payment and equity objectives and select a home loan consistent with their long and short term financial goals. The Home Loan Consultant works under the direction of the VP, Retail Delivery and Mortgage Lending exercising limited independent judgement and decision making and requires moderate supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Achieves Credit Union loan volume goals. Actively seeks mortgage and home equity applications from borrowers/members in need of real estate secured loans.
  • Services Credit Union branches in assigned territory to follow up on referrals and assist in training staff members with lending needs whenever necessary.=
  • Actively calls on Real Estate Agents, Attorneys, and Financial Professionals in assigned territory to solicit referral business.
  • Participates in SFCU networking functions, Homebuyer Seminars and other functions to increase awareness of SFCU mortgage and home equity lending programs.
  • Interviews mortgage loan applicants to explain mortgage products and obtain all key financial and loan related information. Completes loan application and submits loan file to mortgage fulfillment team.
  • Performs loan pre-approvals to analyze member's credit profile and determine eligible loan programs. Counsels members to help determine the loan program that best suits their financial needs. Cross-sells other credit union products and services when appropriate.
  • Communicates credit terms (interest rate, loan terms/repayment method, disclosures, costs, etc.) and all loan status to member from application through closing. Ensures that all terms re within credit union policy and in compliance with RESPA, ECOA, and TILA.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
  • Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience originating residential mortgage loans.
  • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and FHLB secondary marketing guidelines. Ability to quickly learn the Credit Union's portfolio loan products. Must understand residential loan pricing.
  • Must be able to successfully complete registration process with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and to also annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record with reliable transportation. Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must be self-motivated and goal driven.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of mortgage LOS systems. Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.

POSITION: Member Service Representative
LOCATION: Shelton
DEPARTMENT: Retail Delivery
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
STATUS: Full-time

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a full time Member Service Representative to join our Retail Delivery team. The Member Service Representative provides excellent member service by accurately processing a broad variety of transactions while building and maintaining positive relationships with members. This person also educates, recommends and offers products and services that may be beneficial to our members.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supervises staff under the direction of management to ensure service levels and operations are being maintained to Credit Union expectations. Completes weekly branch schedule and adheres to disbursement dates, monitors overtime and adjust staffs schedule as needed. Provides feedback for performance management reviews for each staff member.
  • Opens branch with opening teller, conducts opening responsibilities, conducts surprise cash audits and completes monthly alarm test. Conducts daily inspection of onsite ATM and related duties, including, but not limited to, completing log, replenishing cash, settling and balancing ATM as well as approving and placing holds on ATM checks. Orders cash for delivery for offsite ATM, balances, orders and stocks supplies as needed and pulls electronic journal on a monthly basis. Orders supplies as needed.
  • Balances vault as needed, orders cash for branch, buys/sells cash/coin from tellers, verifies/breaks down cash shipment, bags excess coin for shipment. Conducts audit of travelers cheques with management, reviews lobby/vestibule notice requirements per audit checklist. Destroys all checks and bonds from 90 days and completes log, as well as sends monthly reports to appropriate individuals by the 10th of every month.
  • Serves as back up to staff in different branch locations when necessary.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors. Demonstrates the Credit Union's core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience of relevant customer service and banking experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of products and services of a financial institution, including state and federal regulations and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills with a keen attention to detail. Must be organized, analytical and able to multitask.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%. Must be available to work evenings and on weekends, as well as alarm calls and ATM servicing.
  • Computer experience. Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a part time Call Center Representative to join our Operations team at our Stratford, CT headquarters. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate servicing of our members inbound calls. Provide superior member service and technical product support of electronic banking services and products. Processing routine transactions as well as identifying member needs and cross selling the credit unions financial products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provides exceptional and professional telephone standards to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Processes transactions for members. Researches customer inquiries according to departmental guidelines and procedures to ensure a comprehensive response is provided.
  • Utilizes in depth knowledge to assist members with Internet banking/bill pay processes, mobile banking and to ensure complex issues related to on line issues are resolved.
  • Cross sells Credit Union products and services to members. Educates members on different options based on the member's specific needs.
