In The Community 

 

Sikorsky Credit Union's approach to Community Involvement combines both financial and volunteer support. We encourage our employees to get involved in their local communities and to support programs that make a positive impact. While our efforts have varied over time (supporting local events, participating in chartible drives, etc.) our primary focus is centered around our youth and financial literacy. Our efforts have been recognized with the following awards

  • CT League of Credit Unions recognized Sikorsky Credit Union as1st place winner for 2010 Desjardin Youth Financial Education Award. (Sept 2010)

  • Stratford Board of Education gave Sikorsky Credit Union "Friend of Education" award for work with Stratford Schools from grammar to high school. (June 2010)

  • Worked with Seymour High School teachers to develop Banking and Investments class

  • Provide experts on financial topics for Oxford High School's Financial Management class

  • Contributed to Stratford Board of Education 5 year Community Plan for Education
