The Mail and Payment Processor sorts and processes incoming mail in a timely and accurate manner in order to ensure that all loan payments sent via mail are processed same day.  This person also processes loan-related transactions in Branch Suite in a manner consistent with Loan Servicing Department policies and procedures.

Key Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Sorts and processes all incoming mail received in order to guarantee same-day credit to members for all payments received.
  2. Accurately processes payments and other loan-related transactions in Branch Suite in a manner consistent with Loan Servicing Department policies and procedures.
  3. Demonstrates skill and perseverance solving problems.
  4. Assists with projects as needed. 
  5. Serves as a back-up to Loan Servicing and Collections staff in a limited capacity in order to ensure coverage during peak periods.
  6. Serves as back-up to teller staff as necessary.
  7. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.

Scope:
The Mail and Payment Processor works under the direction of the Loan Administration Supervisor exercising limited independent judgement and decision making following standard practices and procedures and requires moderate supervision.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent. 
  2. Minimum of one years of experience as a Teller, Mail Processor or Customer Service position with a Bank, Credit Union or Loan Servicer.
  3. Working knowledge of consumer loan products, computer systems and standard office equipment.
  4. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with an acute sense of urgency.  Must be able to read & understand standard correspondence, manage time & prioritize effectively.  Keen attention to detail with the ability to contribute to a team-based environment, adapt easily to change with a desire to provide best-in-class service to the member.

General Summary:
The BSA Analyst facilitates the identification of risks throughout the Credit Union by assisting the BSA Officer and Fraud Department by reviewing reports and current trends to assist the BSA compliance program and Fraud Department.   This person also assists management on mitigation strategies to help decrease loss due to fraud and to improve the Credit Union’s operations and internal controls.  

Key Essential Responsibilities:
1.    Assists the BSA Officer in administering all aspects of the credit union’s BSA, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and CIP compliance programs. 
2.    Performs various quality control reviews and monitoring of reports and trends to assist the BSA program. 
3.    Maintains proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC.
4.    Submits Suspicious Activity Reports for BSA/AML-related activities and monitors and tracks BSA/AML high-risk customers and accounts.
5.    Assists fraud department in the set-up of case files for fraud investigators to initiate investigations for check, debit card and other losses due to fraud.  
6.    Works with various departments, reports and data to investigate transactions that are suspicious in nature.
7.    Makes recommendations to the BSA Officer/Compliance Officer and VP, Risk Management when and where appropriate regarding high risk trends. 
8.    Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
9.    Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
10.    Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.

Scope:
The BSA Analyst works under the direction of the VP, Risk Management exercising independent judgment and decision making and requires minimal supervision.  

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:
1.    Bachelor’s Degree and a BSA related certification a plus.
2.    A minimum 2 years of experience in anti-money laundering with a strong understanding of AML controls and risk mitigation.  
3.    Strong knowledge of compliance matters within the financial services industry with knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act and related regulations and internal policies and procedures.
4.    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with persons of diverse social and economic backgrounds.  Must be organized, analytical, have a keen attention to detail and also be able to effectively prioritize and manage time.  
5.    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
6.    Experience with software applications Verafin and FIS a plus.

General Summary:
The IT Applications Specialist provides technical support for PCs, printers and desktop applications. This person deploys and maintains hardware, software and telecommunications systems of basic complexity and assists in supporting systems of medium complexity.

Key Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely and accurate problem resolution support for internal and external customers.
  • Documents and updates IT Help Desk requests in the IT Help Desk database in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develops and maintains technical expertise for the hardware and software within area of responsibility. Installs, configures, tests and maintains these systems.
  • Provides hardware and software support. Understands the business requirements of the staff and works with them to fully leverage IT solutions. Works with the BCP Officer to create, test and document BCP/DR procedures.
  • Maintains system patch levels for IT hardware and software applications as assigned, including creating & documenting procedures, testing/applying patches, and maintaining a patch log to ensure system security.
  • Works with the CISO and IT Manager to establish and maintain hardware and software security standards within area of responsibility.
  • Assist other IT staff members in identifying and creating project plan tasks for projects which affect IT systems within area of responsibility. Works with IT Manager to develop and maintain a three-year plan for hardware and software based on usage, new features, new technologies and business goals.
Qualified candidates should possess:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of PC hardware, desktop applications, operating systems, and vendor software applications. Experience with PC hardware and printer configuration, troubleshooting and repair. Requires knowledge of PC hardware and software.
  • Strong communication, trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage time to meet changing workload and deadlines as well as teach users fundamental concepts of various software applications.
  • Availability for on call and after hours work.

General Summary
The Facilities Supervisor ensures the most suitable working environment by managing the Credit Union’s headquarters and all its branches, including mail room operations.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversees facilities operations, renovations projects and maintenance including buildings and parking lots. Maintains working knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Supervises mailroom staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.  Manages time off requests and approve time cards.
  • Utilizes resources available for employee/department relocation.
  • Responds appropriately to emergency or urgent issues as they arise.
  • Calculates and compares costs for required goods/services to achieve maximum value.
  • Keeps staff safe by ensuring buildings meet health and safety requirements.  Participates in Health and Safety committee meetings.
  • Participates on Business Continuity Planning Team in order to minimize disruption to the company in the event of a disaster event.

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Underwriter to join our Mortgage Lending team. This individual will be responsible for underwriting real estate loans in accordance with secondary market investor guidelines and internal portfolio guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Underwrites residential first mortgages loans in accordance with secondary market investor guidelines and internal portfolio guidelines.
  2. Submits files through DU or LP and interprets findings. Requests, receives and reviews all loan documentation. Reviews and signs off on real estate appraisal and title work and submits file to investor/contract underwriter/mortgage insurance company for final approval.
  3. Works with Home Loan Consultant and Mortgage Operations Staff to clear all outstanding loan conditions.
  4. Communicates loan status with members, branch staff, Credit Union loan fulfillment team and vendors. Updates LOS system.
  5. Prepares and submits credit policy waiver requests to Mortgage Operations Manager (for consideration).
  6. Resolves underwriting-related post-closing issues on assigned files.
  7. Collaborates with management to effectively manage risk.
  8. Takes additional underwriting courses as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  9. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.
  10. Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
  11. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations/state and federal laws.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in mortgage underwriting or processing.
  • Strong knowledge/understanding of loan pricing / LLPA’s. Ability to review all supplemental loan docs, credit reports, real estate appraisals and title work as well as manage a pipeline. Proficiency with DU and LP.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Must possess a strong sense of urgency with the ability to effectively manage time, work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to successfully complete the registration process as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). The ability to annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel and a variety of mortgage lending Loan Origination Systems Lotus Notes and Mortgagebot experience a plus.

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Secondary Marketing Specialist to join our Mortgage Lending team. This individual’s primary responsibility will be processing new home loan rate locks (internally and externally), rate change and extension requests, while adhering to and enforcing credit union pricing policies. Additionally, this individual will upload daily loan pricing into loan origination system and maintain loan product guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Process lock requests in internal loan origination system and various 3rd party vendor systems. Additionally, process all change requests, reprice requests, and extension requests.
  2. Provide support to Home Loan Consultants and Retail Branch staff for pricing inquiries, post lock questions/inquiries.
  3. Generate daily rate file and upload loan rates to loan origination system.
  4. Work closely with VP of Retail Delivery to implement system changes, testing and process flow enhancements.
  5. Assist with loan sales to 3rd party investors (i.e. clearing post-closing issues, file transfer to investors, etc.).
  6. Prepare and distribute daily production reports.
  7. Provide support to Home Loan Consultants and Retail Branch staff for pricing inquiries, post lock questions/inquiries.
  8. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
  9. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in mortgage lending, loan operations, or secondary marketing preferred.
  • An understanding of mortgage rate sheets, price adjustments and familiarity with Fannie Mae/FHLB secondary marketing guidelines. Ability to quickly learn the Credit Union’s portfolio loan products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer serviced skills and high sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to successfully complete registration process with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and to also annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
