General Summary:
The Operations Representative provides excellent service to members and other Credit Union departments by accurately processing transactions, assessing needs, and responding to more complex member problems. 

Key Essential Responsibilities:
1. Processes share account functions including deceased, escheat processing, and funds transfer requests to provide back up when needed.
2. Performs quality control reporting and follow up, account maintenance verification, research and retention to ensure membership criteria is being met within guidelines.
3. Processes all maintenance and card ordering as well as member disputes for Visa Credit Card.
4. Trains new hire tellers during their on boarding process to ensure they are prepared to begin in branch training.
5. Provides support with scanning and indexing as well as record retention items.
6. Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management and vendors.  Demonstrates the Credit Union’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity and Responsibility.
7. Keeps abreast of industry developments including, but not limited to changes in regulations and technology.
8. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
9. Performs additional duties as required.

Scope:
The Operations Representative works under the direction of the Member Service Operations Manager exercising limited independent judgement and decision making and requires moderate supervision.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements 
•    High school diploma or equivalent.   Some college coursework preferred.
•    A minimum of 3 months to 1 year of relevant experience.  
•    Extensive knowledge of state and federal regulatory compliance requirements.
•    Excellent communication, customer service, analytical and organizational skills.  Keen attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize due to the unpredictable flow of daily work.  
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office.  Experience with Lotus Notes a plus.

The Member Service Representative provides excellent member service by accurately processing a broad variety of transactions while building and maintaining positive relationships with members.  This person also educates, recommends and offers products and services that may be beneficial to our members.

  1. Accurately processes a broad variety of transactions while providing excellent member service in a timely manner.
  2. Works as part of the platform team to originate Credit Union products and services based on member specific needs.
  3. Assists tellers with complex transactions as directed by Lead Teller.  Helps with teller training as needed.
  4. Serves as back up to staff in different branch locations when necessary.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  Some college coursework preferred. 
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Teller.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services with extensive knowledge of Credit Union products and services.  Strong desire to achieve branch production goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.  Must be able to multitask and have strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Computer experience.  Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.

 
Environmental / Physical / Mental Requirements:
The Member Service Representative performs a major portion of his/her duties through verbal and written communications.  It is critical that he/she possess the ability to communicate with clarity, while understanding and explaining products and services to members/potential members. The person will spend a good portion of the day seated at a workstation but may also be mobile throughout the Credit Union for purposes of meetings, training and working with others, as well as travel to other branch locations.

Secondary Marketing Specialist

Sikorsky Credit Union is seeking a Secondary Marketing Specialist to join our Mortgage Lending team. This individual’s primary responsibility will be processing new home loan rate locks (internally and externally), rate change and extension requests, while adhering to and enforcing credit union pricing policies. Additionally, this individual will upload daily loan pricing into loan origination system and maintain loan product guidelines.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Process lock requests in internal loan origination system and various 3rd party vendor systems. Additionally, process all change requests, reprice requests, and extension requests.
  2. Provide support to Home Loan Consultants and Retail Branch staff for pricing inquiries, post lock questions/inquiries.
  3. Generate daily rate file and upload loan rates to loan origination system.
  4. Work closely with VP of Retail Delivery to implement system changes, testing and process flow enhancements.
  5. Assist with loan sales to 3rd party investors (i.e. clearing post-closing issues, file transfer to investors, etc.).
  6. Prepare and distribute daily production reports.
  7. Provide support to Home Loan Consultants and Retail Branch staff for pricing inquiries, post lock questions/inquiries.
  8. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
  9. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualified candidates should possess the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in mortgage lending, loan operations, or secondary marketing preferred.
  • An understanding of mortgage rate sheets, price adjustments and familiarity with Fannie Mae/FHLB secondary marketing guidelines. Ability to quickly learn the Credit Union’s portfolio loan products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer serviced skills and high sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to successfully complete registration process with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and to also annually renew and maintain registration throughout employment.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Must be self-motivated with high sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and knowledge of mortgage LOS systems. Familiarity with Lotus Notes a plus.

  7. Responsible for managing and balancing your cash daily, while adhering to established practices, procedures and financial institution regulatory requirements.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years' relevant work experience in the financial industry, cash handling or customer service or sales experience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills an (outgoing personality is helpful).
  • Proven member service abilities, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
